Encore Tracey
Update on winter maintenance works from Whitings, they are due to; start clearing the willows, pruning, hedge cutting, blowing etc.
Gritting plan was sent out on places to support residents accessing information about where the gritting is taking place. Residents highlighted that the gritters are driving faster than expected on the estate and this feedback has been passed on to Whitings. Please continue to feedback to Tracey if this continues.
The second notice board at the entrance to Elizabeth Park going up and the water ingress at school noticeboard has been resolved.
Druell way is still overseen by Redrow for gritting, resident to chase up with them about this.
Tracey provide explanation about the hand over of roads to Encore and why they won’t take over before snagging resolved as the repairs would need to be paid for by service charges. Tracey has been following up Redrow snagging and winter gritting issues with them directly but it relies on the house builder to maintain their parcel of land until hand over. Residents are encourages to please continue to follow up with house builders directly.
Tracey will look into putting details of managed lands on the places apps and provide details of who to contact for different areas.

Volunteer roles and director positions available
Community Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) in February. The Director roles – Chair Person, Secretary, and Treasurer roles will need reelecting, as well as – communications roles, fundraising roles, events team organisers and events team volunteers. If you are interested in these (volunteer specs are attached) and are keen to put yourself forward for the role at the AGM in February, please email alconburywealdca@gmail.com.
Alconbury Weald Prize Draw
£13 first prize to number 24, £7.75 second prize to number 17 and £5.25, third prize to number 18.
This will be advertised throughout socials again to encourage more sign ups.
Any other business
Alconbury Weald Church interactive services; all are welcome, intergenerational services, refreshments, activity and Church of England service.
Business owners annual event returning this year on Sunday 29th March 10am – 2pm. This event is not for selling, just sharing, sampling and raising awareness of local businesses.
Alconbury Weald Community Garden club meeting Saturday 10:30am Pavilion, if there is any interest, please join as come spring time, there will be lots to do!
Next meeting is the AGM – Wednesday 4th February 2026 at 7:30pm.
