- Encore – Service Charge will remain at £375 per home. Letters will be issued next week. Budget will go on Places App. Next meeting will do a big bit on service charge. Notice board has gone up by the school. Second noticeboard will go at Elizabeth Way. Sewage smells – item will go on Places to say who residents need to do. U&C are clearing the drains to check the issue. Windsor Road Allotments have all been handed over, rotated and cleared. Whitings have suggested putting a herbicide down – Celina and Lena both declined. 2 people on waiting list. Concerned about litter by Co-op and around. AWCA has all the equipment – needs a champion. How do people get access to Places App – email Encore Estate Management info@encoreestates.co.uk – second owners Encore cannot get access until solicitors docs have come over. Can look at general account.
- Smart Journeys – Travel Survey from 13th Oct for 2 weeks. Lots of prizes for people to win for taking part. Liftshare is available https://liftshare.com/uk/community/alconburyweald any questions info@smarterjourneys.co.uk
- 13th Sept feedback – Had about 500/700 people for HoD weather was poor and closed us early. Needed more stewards to tell people where to go with the weather. Made a profit.
- 29th Nov preparations – On Glade there is building works – we are full for stalls 14 stalls registered and 3 food and drink stalls registered, planning to have a Santa’s Grotto- price per child, prebooked. Music to be louder. Co-op to do Christmas Tree and there will be a light switch on, hopefully. Need Volunteers for stall.
- Christmas Card Banners Proposal – School children create but needs sponsorship – general feeling that need more time to do for this year and will aim for 2026!
- Flags – general feeling it can’t be policed and will fizzle out.
- 2026 Events – book flypast for 2026 HoD & Food Festival.
Business Networking event Walk and a picnic Step challenge – updated map Open Gardens Garage Sale Tallest Sunflower Scarecrow Festival Litter pick Could combine open gardens and garage sale, potentially – need champions for all of these. Ideally, a little team for each event. Poster to go in the notice board advertising and asking for help with QR code of how to volunteer
- Finance Update – Breheny £2000 for 2026 events. Need proposals for that money. £1390 left after running costs of own trading income.
- Gazebo Proposal – Matt/Celina £1965 total cost all in. Donation Buckets. Celina will put in a poll in group.
- AWCA Prize Draw – Membership fee £25 per year and have 3 winners every month. 21 taking part £10.75 first prize – 23, £6.50 second prize – 18, £4.25 third prize – 5
- A.O.B – need a social media manager. – Celina to buy a speakerphone for in person meetings. – Well done to Julia for getting the vegetation cut down on the roundabout.
- Next meeting November 5th on teams changed to 12th Nov.
