Encore Update

  • Tracey unable to attend.

  • Concerns raised: drinking outside Co-op delivery box, fag butts at Watch Office & behind CCC building, bins near Co-op covered in vape stickers/vapes.

Events & Updates

VE Day 80th Celebration – 10th May

  • First aid, event support, flags, walkie talkies, high-vis vests all being arranged.

  • Pimp My Fish confirmed.

  • 22 market stalls, 3 charities, 2 dessert vans booked.

  • Purchases approved: £120 lawn games (labelled to avoid loss), £450 bunting (fabric, Club to Co-op).

  • Sea Cadets attending.

  • Jeff providing vehicles, gazebos, 1940s recipes.

  • Volunteers needed for CA stall & stewarding (sign-up slots available).

  • Dressing-up competition prizes: Pershey’s chocolate, Wrigley’s gum, Pimp My Fish voucher (TBC), possible Co-op donation.

  • CA stall to host business contacts.

  • Long-term storage shed at allotments approved.

Business Network Event Review

  • Went very well – 25 businesses attended.

  • Future events planned.

  • List of businesses to be published on CA website (Digital Mosaic).

Open Gardens – 1st June

  • Need more gardens!

  • Running 10am–4pm.

Food Festival – 14th June

  • OTBT managing food trucks & fun day entertainment.

  • CA handling stalls, music, bar.

  • Private Chef on the Weald may do a show cook.

  • Kids’ activity planned (biscuit decorating/sugar craft).

Garage Sale – 17th August

  • Charlotte & Jacky leading.

  • Pocket parks to be used for those without garages/drives.

  • Looking for charity link.

Sunflower Competition

  • Jez organising.

  • Easter holidays: pop-up table outside Co-op, £2 packs.

  • Judging in September.

September Family Funday

  • Needs dedicated event owner.

  • Charlotte & Celina drafting a brief for next meeting.


Finance Update

  • VE Day pot: £590

  • Breheny donation: £2,000

  • CA funds: £900 (£100 allocated for straw)

  • Hardship Fund: £1,000
