Neighbourhood Watch - Micki sent an update that she has passed the neighbourhood watch back to Haresh now that we have seen the numbers increase and everyone is a bit more aware of it. The Alconbury Weald WhatsApp groups both Emergency and Chat are very alive when things are happening on the Weald and I plan to share these regularly on our facebook page to ensure that new residents get to know about them and have the opportunity to join. Celina has been in touch with the Bobby Scheme.
Fairy Doors Update - Now up and ready to find all along Scots Pine Way Celina plans to share images of different doors across the summer months. Anyone willing to volunteer to help with Social Media posts? Azaz volunteered to help
Sunflower Competition – Celina – Sunflower photos have started to come in. Certificates for children at the Funday. Mike donated some money for prizes, thank you.
Scarecrow festival – Natalie - Ali/ Jez / Charlotte happy to help with straw collection 31st Aug from 11am-2pm. Then the scarecrows active dates 14th Sept- 22nd Sept. 8 Scarecrows so far.
Garage Sale – Ali – 18th Aug – 15 garages signed up so far.
Hardship fund – Celina – being brought within the AWCA, funds will be ring fenced. Voted and agreed
Comm Funday and Market 7th September – Celina – stall holders 23 registered so far, 6 have paid so far. Bar, Band, Food Trucks, Smart Journeys, Camsite, Magpas attending. Community Association Stall for refreshments/raffle need volunteers Charlotte, Jez plus kids. Azaz may be able to help but won’t know until the day before.
Open Gardens – 160 people attended, Donations of £380 for Magpas. All participants have been invited to Magpas for a tour.
Allotments & Community Garden - Natalie beginning over winter there will be community days to help with build of community garden
Alconbury Weald Quality of Life Survey https://residentreviewalconburyweald.commonplace.is/ - Natalie – If you want to input on what happens over the next 3 years this is the way to get your opinion heard
VE Day 8th May 2025 80th Anniversary – Request from Coop and Alconbury Research Group this could be another Community Day – Steve has offered to help.
Parking restrictions on The Boulevard between Newton Road and The Pavilion, Senliz Road between The Boulevard and Cartwright Close and Swynford Road between Ermine Street and the first crossing point. There will be parking monitors and there will be fines.

Marianne – Walk on the Weald lots of people walked the 100k £800 raised. Trees will be planted. Not enough volunteers to move forward with the crossing person.
