- Lights off Lyson Close, Garnette Drive corner, Harding Way.
- Duncan update – Works completed on Carnaile ponds and big ponds are to be cleared. Fallen bin on Swynford replaced, Tree Survey has been completed, dead trees removed and replaced. Lights in garland park fuse box has been upgraded. Redrow are doing remedials on Swynford and damaged trees replaced to have this then moved over to Encore.
- School Parking – Ayellet from ESCA and Jana from Friends on call – work within school to help parents make better choices. Modeshift is active. Ideas put forward Poster for children to take home to parents. Poster made into signs and put up around the crossings - @Natalie Leigh-Brown to research. Relay of taking children from the cars and taken into school. – Sarah to find out more from the school near her work. Discussed shutting off the road, requires temporary road order, £2k per road, which is harder with bus route. It would need enforcement by police, needs to go to public consultation for 1 year before starting. Barrier wpuld need to be manned and stored in school. Lollypop person clear there is no facility or funding from CCC, Would need funding externally. - @Celina.e.jacques to reach out to Marianne to get more info and invite Friends and ESCA back to discuss further.
- Incorporation of Community Association – CIC community interest company is open. Do you care who we bank with? Natwest, Barclays or Lloyds. Celina has found a resident to build us a website. Do we allow adverts – approved. Payment platform on site – approved. - @Celina.e.jacques @Jeremy Bussoopun and @Charlotte Mann to decide on bank account and begin application process.
2024 Events
- Litter Pick @Charlotte Mann will happen later in the year. NLB has organised items.
- Step Challenge @Laura Holmes In May to walk 100k to win trees, tours, experiences, obstacle course in association with Magpas. @Marianne Spilling has spoken to Magpas - Walk on the Weald with Magpas. Teams or individuals. Clinicians will do community walks, online donation page. Asked business to push this and ESCA with Modeshift Stars. Promotion will start early April. Warbler copy date is 20th March.
- Open Gardens – only 5 gardens confirmed. We need more gardens, please ask your friends. Tickets from Swynford, NLB to speak to Co-op. £2 per family group for the map and money to Magpas. – leaflet drop discussed reach out to @Su McKay if you have found someone willing to participate or would like leaflets to give out.

What is available for adults bookclub, walking group on a Tuesday evening was stopped over winter but can restart, painting in Bohemia, Beer Festival 13th/14th April, fitness classes. If anyone would like to suggest something else please contact @Natalie Leigh-Brown. PTA used to put on event nights @Celina Jacques to speak to Friends group.
Neighbourhood Watch – Need a new NHW co-ordinator. @Michaela Ruggins raise awareness of NHW. Now have 90 members, tangible benefits more people signed up better cohesion, regular updates. Alconbury Weald Neighbourhood Watch Facebook page has been set up. NHW signs to go up. Micki has spoken to Cambs NHW coordinator and making contact with our local police liaison – on agenda for next month
